my guess about why Ms. Hayashibara and Ms. Takayama sound interchangeable there? it's twofold.

1 they've worked together for years and i bet they can both imitate each-others' characters.

or...

2 they actually used Ms. Takayama AND Ms. Hayashibara while Haibara is wearing the surgical mask voice changer. you know how much ADR can be 'messed around with' by the sound technicians. ;)

and of course the mangaka/screenwriters are going to constantly interrupt ShinRan during 'the good parts'... otherwise the 'romantic tension' would be broken and they would have to start 'coupling up' the two constantly with BF/GF stuff. it's often called the 'will they or won't they' effect in storytelling.

And yep.. It's a bit annoying with all the back and forth but I'm kinda glad ShinRan aren't officially together for the majority of the show (as if them being together actually changed much...) It keeps the people watching. This show would not have 1000 episodes if the plot progressed at a normal pace 😔

The actors themselves have been in other stuff through the 1990’s I think the voice actor is for hibari is known for Faye valentine I’m cowboy behop and anna from shaman king while the voice actor for conan does the voice of Kiki in the Japanese verison of kiki’s delivery service

Shinichi at 2:50 is so cute, he looks so pouty eating his toast. Haibara probably hasn't taken the antidote because she wants to stay as "Haibara Ai", right? aah, Shinichi responding to the detective boys when they called for "Conan" was a bit sad. Because if he ever gets his real body back their relationship would change. But I also doubt he would abandon them and stop being their friend completly, he cares about them too much. lol that "Ran-neechan", how cute. It's great to see how close Shinichi is to his highschool classmates too, since they probably won't appear often. Also his only friends we usually see are Sonoko and Ran, (the detective boys too, but I'm talking about friends his actual age). I don't get why everyone keeps going on about Ran or Shinichi (or like that girl in the last episode) getting married, they're still in high school afterall.

Haibara wants to stay a kid because what use will there be when she becomes an adult?Like she lost her only sister, Akemi Miyano. She has no friends.Plus if she grew back to her original body. The men in black will for sure know her. So its better to stay as a kid.

I'm not a ShinRan person but gotta admit this was really cute... I was like "awnnn" most of the episode.

I felt so sad seeing shinichi answering for Conan & missing the detective boys and probably thinking what if he'll never be Conan ever again? woah that's heartbreaking...

I really miss Conan so much... like this show will be nothing without him, Shinichi CAN'T replace Conan. Conan's presence & humour, him when he's with agasa, the duo of Conan & haibara, Conan getting scolded by kogoro and putting him to sleep & solving the case.... just unmatched, bring back Conan I've had enough shinichi for now 😭

I don't know what's about this episode but it's so good... the atmosphere, the restaurant, all good vibes I love it.

I was pleasantly surprised by the design of the artwork, which is beautiful and detailed.
It has an engrossing story line, in my opinion.
